Kings Basketball started as a social mixed-grade team playing in numerous competitions around the city. The team was made up of friends who all grew up playing basketball together in our home land of NZ - who then made the move across the Tasman and now reside in Perth, WA (hence West Coast).

Here at WCK, our goal is to provide affordable opportunities for young players of all skill levels (Entry, Domestic, WABL, State) to learn the game of basketball, develop under some experienced high level coaches and have some fun along the way.

The benefits of team sport are well-documented and it is no secret the life lessons and skills that can be gained from it. At WCK, it is our intention to create a safe learning environment, promoting inclusivity for youth from all walks of life.

Our passion for the sport runs deep and making life long friendships through basketball gave us the desire to start this movement to give back to the community and our rangatahi (children), through a game we all love.

It gives us great joy watching the next generation enjoy this sport as much as we did growing up.
